Tools Used: Articulate 360, Microsoft Office

Additional Deliverables Used: Design Document

Target Audience: Company employees regularly using company technology through which they may face phishing scams

Problem: Employees lacking knowledge about phishing attacks are at risk of falling victim to such scams. This makes company resources, hardware, data and other secure information at risk as well.
Solution: This course was designed to introduce a new program and train teachers so that they are able to:
-
Understand the features, services and benefits of the iTutor program
-
Implement the program to support students' needs outside of the classroom
Highlights: This training employs interactive elements including labeled graphics, accordion tabs, a sorting activity, knowledge checks and a quiz.

Process: After researching the topic of phishing, I created a script in MS Word, outlining the OST and interactions I intended to use. I left the image descriptions here open as I intended to use materials available within the Articulate 360 platform.
Then, I set to work in Rise, building the project based on my script. I chose stock illustrations that bring a cohesive feel to the visual design. My intention was to incorporate a variety of interactive features available in Rise. I employed multiple interactive elements in this project: flashcard grid, labeled graphics, multiple choice and multi-select assessments, accordion tabs and a sorting activity. These interactions make the learning experience engaging while providing learner feedback throughout the lesson.

Additional Deliverables Used: Storyboard, Design Document

Target Audience: Teachers who will use the program to meet student needs

Problem: School District A has purchased a new virtual tutoring program and needs to train teachers on the program's features and benefits in order to effectively implement the program.
Solution: This course was designed to introduce a new program and train teachers so that they are able to:
-
Understand the features, services and benefits of the iTutor program
-
Implement the program to support students' needs outside of the classroom
Highlights: This training employs engaging elements such as scenarios, interactive tabs and a drag and drop activity.

Process: I started this project by designing slide layouts in MS PowerPoint, then utilized these slides in my visual storyboard. I then uploaded the prototype I had created in MS Power Point into Articulate Storyline. I refined the visual aesthetic by aligning my color scheme and font choices across all slides. During the creative process, I simplified the OST to avoid wordiness, putting more of the script into the audio content. I used audio content to present the scenario and incorporated a tabbed interaction to help engage learners in the content and assess understanding.
